 |I often find that I gravitate toward wearing basic outfits over and over again. Jeans, a top, sandals, etc. I’ve found a few tricks I use to help elevate a casual outfit.

  1. Buy a basic top that’s not so basic. In this post I’m wearing this adorable white top instead of just a white tee shirt. Try to find a top that has some character or some detail. My top has both eyelets and ruffles and a shorter hemline. These fun details instantly create an elevated look.
  2. Try different accessories. Anyone else been carrying the same bag for years? This one is harder for me because I’m so into the accessories that I know and love, but, anytime I switch up my accessories, my outfit feels like it gets a makeover with just a few quick changes. In this outfit, I elevated my everyday sunglasses with these fun, oversized, mirrored glasses, and added an oversized statement tote bag.
  3. Give yourself some height. I generally do this tip all the time to elevate a look. Wearing jeans, a top and flip flops can be so easy and practical for running around doing errands, but throwing on a pair of wedges or heels can instantly take any outfit from basic to chic.
