|I often find that I gravitate toward wearing basic outfits over and over again. Jeans, a top, sandals, etc. I’ve found a few tricks I use to help elevate a casual outfit.
- Buy a basic top that’s not so basic. In this post I’m wearing this adorable white top instead of just a white tee shirt. Try to find a top that has some character or some detail. My top has both eyelets and ruffles and a shorter hemline. These fun details instantly create an elevated look.
- Try different accessories. Anyone else been carrying the same bag for years? This one is harder for me because I’m so into the accessories that I know and love, but, anytime I switch up my accessories, my outfit feels like it gets a makeover with just a few quick changes. In this outfit, I elevated my everyday sunglasses with these fun, oversized, mirrored glasses, and added an oversized statement tote bag.
- Give yourself some height. I generally do this tip all the time to elevate a look. Wearing jeans, a top and flip flops can be so easy and practical for running around doing errands, but throwing on a pair of wedges or heels can instantly take any outfit from basic to chic.
